Club Rules & By Laws: 

Hersham Comrades Social Club New Bye Laws – Agreed 19th February 2007

1.      The club car park is for the use of members and club visitors only.

2.      Male and Female members and guests must be properly dressed at all times.

3.      During hot weather tops are to be worn at all times.

4.      Drinking up times is 30 minutes maximum, please do not abuse this.

5.      Alcohol is not to be purchased or consumed on the premise by any persons under the

      age of 18.

6.   In addition to its other duties the Finance Committee is also the committee that is responsible with the sale and supply of intoxicating liquor for and on behalf of Hersham Comrades Social Club.

7.   No persons under 18 years of age are allowed to play the fruit machines under any circumstances.

8.   Dogs are not allowed in the club at anytime with the exception of Guide Dogs.

9.   The maximum kitty for card games is set at £5.00.

10. A charge of 50p will be made when changing cheques. If a cheque is returned due to lack of funds, a charge of £7.00 will be made for this inconvenience. If a second occurrence happens then this facility will be withdrawn to that Member.

11. The facility to change cheques maybe withdrawn at anytime. Cheques will only be cashed if the person cashing it is a Member and the drawer. All cheques are cashed at the Clubs discretion.

12. When the Club is being used for a private function it is a condition of use that a Member of the Management Committee is allowed access at all times.

13. The maximum number of persons allowed at a ticket function is 220.

14. Visitors (not including CIU members) are to pay £1.00 on a Friday and Saturday evening and 50p at all other times.

15. Smoking or drinking across the snooker, billiards or pool tables is not permitted.

16. Ashtrays are not permitted on the bars.

17. A game of snooker consists of “one light” for one game.

18. Children under the age of 13 are not permitted to play snooker at anytime. Persons aged between 14 and 17 may play when accompanied by an adult member.

19. Children aged 14 and under are not permitted to play pool.

20. Children aged 12 and under are not permitted to play darts.

21. The dart boards in the hall are for competition use only.

22. Children are not allowed on the stages at anytime unless by invite.

23. Children age 12 and under are not permitted on the dance floor after 10pm when there is live entertainment.

24. Children of full members may attend the Club parties subject to conditions prevailing at the time.

25. Prams, pushchairs or any other mode of transport for children is not permitted in the Club on Saturdays after 9pm.

26. Double parking is not permitted in the Club car park.

27. No liability is accepted by the Club or the Management Committee for any damage to persons or property whilst on club property, this also includes the car park.

28. Members, parents or guardians are responsible for the conduct of anyone under of the age of 18 who they bring into the Club.

29. Bikes are not to be parked at the front of the Club.

30. Only food purchased from or provided by the Club maybe consumed on the premises unless previously agreed by the Management Committee.

31. Singing or chanting in the Club that includes vulgar or lewd language or verses is not permitted.

32. The use of foul or abusive language must not be used in the Club and will not be tolerated.

33. Footwear shall be worn at all times in the club.

34. CIU members are not admitted on Christmas Day.

35. No person under the 18 is allowed near the bar areas or to be served.

36. If the hall is not in use for a private function then parents and guardians must accompany all children under 16 in the hall. All children must stay in close proximity to their parents or guardians. All guest children are the responsibility of the member who introduced them.

37. Children are not permitted to use the door entry card issued to a member of the club for any purpose.

These rules are for the safety of everyone using Hersham Comrades Social Club.

Anyone seen breaking these rules will be asked to appear in front of the Committee.
